This modern oak kitchen has a statement island, plenty of storage and a wealth of appliances. The owners were both appreciative of a natural wood finish and so a beautiful European Oak with light character knots was chosen. They also selected a square, narrow frame door design – a simple style that really allows the wood to take centre stage.
For larger family gatherings, plenty of storage and cooking space was key and so a bespoke, double door larder was a must. Either side you will find two Miele oven stacks with warming drawers, ovens, a combi microwave and a steam oven. The large island has a 5 burner gas hob and a downdraft extractor, while beneath the traditional style open plate rack you will find an integrated Miele coffee machine.
At one end of the island is a small round prep sink with curved cupboards underneath, while at the other end you’ll find a custom made circular solid oak breakfast bar.
Designed for a busy family with three young children and a dog, this kitchen needed to be functional but also stylish too.
European Oak with light character knots. Small simple black knob handles. African brown granite worktops.
It’s lovely to see a kitchen where the wood really is the star, but for us the wow factor comes from the futuristic circular breakfast bar which has been raised on bespoke stainless steel brackets to give a modern feel.
