Traditional Hand Painted
This beautiful handmade, hand-painted kitchen brings together many of the elements often associated with a traditional design. There’s a panelled chimney, an ornate mantel shelf and in-frame doors with a bevelled detail. Add to this an Aga, a butler sink and some shell cup handles and you have a kitchen with plenty of charm.
Dark granite has been used for the worktops around the wall units, with a contrasting travertine worktop on the island. The warm shade of this worktop helps to pull together the golden sandy hues of the limestone floor and wall tiles.
As well as looking great, the kitchen is also practical too with plenty of storage including cabinetry located under the island and above the European style fridge freezer. There is even a second row of smaller wall cabinets – some with glass panelling – situated above the principal run to ensure plenty of handy storage space.
A practical family kitchen with plenty of storage and a classic, traditional design.
The kitchen has been hand-painted in two slightly different shades, with an off-white used on the main cabinets and a warmer, soft brown tone used on the island.
It’s the little traditional touches that really warm us to this kitchen design. The Aga, butler sink, tiles, shell cup handles and subtle details such as the bevelled door panels and ornate mantel style all combine to make this a truly welcoming space for the whole family.
