This former Granary building had already been converted into a family home, before being extended to provide a large, light-filled extension with glorious views over the Kent countryside.
Two sides of the room are filled with floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open on to the large wraparound patio – blurring the boundary between the inside and outside space. Less is definitely more with this open-plan design, and our hand-painted Modular kitchen has a clean, uncluttered and minimalist feel that complements rather than competes with the stunning scenery.
The L-shaped kitchen includes a bank of carefully considered tall units with a Neff oven stack and a European style fridge freezer by Fisher & Paykel. Here, you will also find a spacious walk-in pantry, discreetly concealed behind a secret door.
The remaining run of base units continues beneath the window and includes a sink, Quooker, Neff dishwasher, pull-out bins and a Caple wine cooler.
On the island, a BORA cooktop with built-in extraction preserves the uninterrupted views, retaining the openness that is vital to the success of the design.
