Victorian Terrace Greenwich

PROJECT DETAILS

A young couple from Kent approached us as they were extending their Victorian terrace in London.

While the original property is full of quirky period features, the clean dimensions of the large extension made the space ideal for a Modular Kitchen design.

We worked closely with our clients to select the cabinetry that best suited their needs, including a single door larder cupboard with built-in spice racks, two sets of pan drawers and a central island unit with plenty of storage.

Traditional features such as the farmhouse sink and range cooker are in keeping with the character of the original property, while the contemporary colour scheme simultaneously gives the space a funky, modern feel.

Brief

  • To create a family kitchen that would sit comfortably in this bright, light-filled modern extension while remaining true to the traditional aspects of the original part of the property.

Finish

  • The two-tone colour scheme features a dark, charcoal grey on the island contrasted with a paler shade on the main run of cabinetry.
  • 30mm white quartz worktops add to the light, airy feel.

Best Feature

  • While this may not be a bespoke design, our clients have carefully selected their own finishing touches such as bar stools, pendant lights and a lovely retro-inspired tile splashback,  ensuring that the completed kitchen remains personal to them.
