Contemporary Barn Conversion
This bespoke hand-painted kitchen includes a large 4.5 metre island with 60mm thick Quartz Form worktops.
In order to make a feature of the two supporting pillars, the kitchen has been given a symmetrical design with double door breakfast cupboards either side of the range cooker, and matching flights of drawers at either end of the island.
This symmetry continues throughout with the inclusion of a double sink and two Neff dishwashers.
The far right side of the room has been given over to two Siemens fridge freezers, a Caple wine cooler and two bespoke glass fronted dressers, including handmade solid oak drawer inserts for storing wine.
The far left has an informal seating area and media wall, while tucked around the corner is a custom made table.
THE BRIEF
The owners of this large barn conversion just outside Tunbridge Wells love to entertain and wanted an open plan kitchen space that functions both as a family room and also as a place to host relaxed, informal dinner parties.
FINISH
The three different cooking, relaxing and dining zones are pulled together with the use of one single paint colour and one single style of worktop throughout, even on the dining table.
BEST FEATURE
The large 4.5 metre island is certainly impressive, but for us the stand out feature has to be the bespoke wine storage with solid oak drawer inserts.
