This traditional handmade oak kitchen has been given a modern twist thanks to the chunky, square detail on the cabinet doors, the use of flat-fronted drawers and the addition of contemporary bar handles.
The split level island with breakfast bar has both quartz and solid oak worktops, while appliances such as Neff induction hob, oven stack and extractor hood add to the modern feel.
By placing the main cooking zone on the island close to the raised breakfast bar we have created a functional yet sociable cooking space, while the sink situated within the bay window has the advantage of looking out on to the pretty garden and makes the most of the natural light.
Our clients wanted to ensure that their traditional oak kitchen still retained a current edge.
We worked closely with our customer to select oak with minimum knots, giving their solid wood kitchen a clean and modern finish.
By raising the breakfast bar on the island we have added interest whilst also keeping the cooking area discreetly out of sight.
