A substantial 6-bedroom property on an exclusive road in Sevenoaks.
A whole house project including an open plan kitchen living space, TV snug, boot room, cinema room and bar plus bedrooms with bathroom cabinetry and walk-in dressing rooms.
The Brief
When the owners of this traditional home approached us, they envisioned something special: a home brought cohesively together with handmade cabinetry throughout. For the kitchen, the heart of their family home, they sought a space that would provide modern functionality; something warm and inviting, yet distinctly personal.
The design needed to create a homely warmth, it should feel lived-in yet with thoughtfully chosen textures and tones, whilst also integrating luxury appliances for the keen cook in the family.
The Design Solution
Our team soon put all these ideas and thoughts into a comprehensive design that realised all the customer's wishes and more. The resulting space is one that feels both functional and welcoming.
The cabinetry in this kitchen showcases our bespoke joinery with a thoughtful blend of styles. Handmade in-frame cupboard doors with narrow frames provide classic detailing that hints at the home’s traditional character. In contrast, the cabinetry run housing the ovens with flat lay-on doors in a beautiful stained-oak finish offers a more contemporary feel.

Working with paint from Benjamin Moore and Farrow & Ball, the design features a carefully curated mixture of tones. The run of cabinetry surrounding the sink is finished in a soft, light blue that brings a sense of calm to the working area, whilst the island makes a bolder statement in Farrow & Ball’s Inchyra Blue. This thoughtful use of colour creates distinct zones within the open-plan space while still maintaining that all-important lived-in elegance.
The cupboards and drawers are fitted with luxurious internal walnut carcasses; a premium detail that showcases the quality of our craftsmanship and adds another layer of refinement to the overall design.
To finish the look, we chose bespoke handles by Ged Kennett to provide sculptural interest and complement the kitchen’s refined aesthetic further, so demonstrating how custom details make all the difference.

Our clients specifically chose Silestone in Siberian Frost for its subtle warmer background tone, preferring the creamy undertones to the starkness of pure white surfaces. On the island the worktops feature dramatic waterfall ends, creating a striking architectural element that anchors the room and accentuates the natural veining.
Whilst planning the kitchen design, we took the time to understand the culinary needs of the family and, having done so, we settled on Miele appliances to meet every cooking requirement, including:
~ Miele oven for traditional cooking
~ Steam oven for healthy meal preparation
~ Coffee machine for morning rituals
~ Combination oven for ultimate versatility
~ Warming drawer for seamless entertaining
The island incorporates a Bora Classic hob, with in-built innovative extraction system to maintain the clean sight lines, as well as maximise the visual impact of the kitchen’s central feature. Finally, a Quooker ‘Front’ tap in stainless steel provides instant boiling water, combining practicality with sleek design.

At this property, we also designed and hand made cabinetry for the other rooms in the home, including a large boot room with plenty of hanging space and shoe nooks for all the family, two walk-in dressing rooms within the master suite, a bespoke bar and cinema room, bathroom cabinetry plus wardrobes and media walls for the TV snug and home office.
