The new Loft collection from Silestone by Cosentino introduces five new colours inspired by the current trend for industrial design.
The name of each surface reflects the distinctive history and style of an iconic city or district, drawing inspiration from the buildings, architecture and urban aesthetic of locations like London’s Camden, Poblenou in Barcelona, Seaport in Manhattan, New York’s Nolita and Detroit’s Corktown.
In these and other urban areas, spaces that were once factories, workshops or warehouses have been transformed into loft apartments, characterised by exposed materials such as concrete, cement, brick, beams and pipes, spear-heading the trend for industrial inspired design.
In addition to this urban aesthetic, the Loft series also features Hybrid-Q+ technology. Exclusive to Cosentino, this is a new production process that adheres to their ongoing commitment to the environment. The manufacturing process is fuelled by renewable energy and uses 98% recycled water, while the material itself is made from a hybrid of minerals and recycled glass.
We love the choice of colours and, crucially, textures offered by this new collection. From the soft, subtle detail of Camden, to the sandy grey of Poblenou. Seaport has a warm, cement like quality while Nolita is cool and light with nuances of white and grey. The neutral tones and tactile designs that characterise each finish can help add a contemporary edge to your kitchen.
For our latest showroom display, we selected Corktown. This dark, weathered shade brings together an intense grey background punctuated with warm, rich patches of brown. The matte finish works beautifully alongside our bespoke, solid oak drawer fronts and hand painted cabinetry – making this an exciting addition to our Sevenoaks showroom.
We also have numerous other worktops on display at both Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells, alongside a vast selection of samples for your consideration. Commission a kitchen from us, and your designer will guide you through the various options, ensuring a finished kitchen design that is completely personal to you.
