There’s a bit of a buzz here on Chart Farm at the moment, as our new neighbours prepare for their grand opening!

We’re thrilled to welcome The Eco Pantry, a brand new plastic-free refillery which opens it’s doors for the first time on Saturday 20th July 2019.

It’s a fresh and exciting concept which allows customers to re-use and refill containers from home with dried fruit, pasta, rice, pulses, herbs, spices, baking goods, tea, coffee and more.

The idea is to help the increasing number of environmentally conscious shoppers in this area to cut down on their single-use plastic consumption.

Items are sold by weight, enabling you to buy exactly what you need which in turn cuts down on food waste. Cleaning products and toiletries will also be available with new products being added all the time.

We popped in to say “hello” to shop owner, Karen, and to find out more about her plans for the store. Karen’s enthusiasm for the shop was clear to see as she busied herself filling numerous containers with a wealth of different products ahead of Saturday’s launch. She explained that The Eco Pantry will initially be open three days a week, to complement their already extablished presence at a number of local farm markets including Tonbridge, Shipbourne, Aylesford and West Malling.

Here on Chart Farm, just outside Sevenoaks, the shop will be open from 9am to 3pm every Saturday and from 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Eco Pantry is a fantastic new addition which will sit alongside the popular Chart Farm Butchery and, of course, our own Rencraft workshops and showroom.

We wish our new neighbours every success with their venture.
